As Mercedes-Benz continue with their finance deals for new cars their sales figures have shown an impressive growth as we near the end of 2011.
Year to date (YTD) figures released today by SMMT show Mercedes-Benz Cars has registered 76,570 new cars, up 10 per cent on 2010’s results of 69,617 vehicles. With a full month left to report, Mercedes-Benz Cars has already beaten the full-year results from 2010 (when 74,919 new cars were registered).
In an overall UK car market that fell some 4.5 per cent YTD, Mercedes-Benz also recorded its best-ever November, with 6033 cars registered, up 10.7 per cent on the same month last year. This gave Mercedes-Benz Cars a market share of 4.5 per cent – another best-ever performance.
Six model ranges have recorded significant double-digit growth YTD in 2011, with C-Class Estate, the SLK-Class Roadster, E-Class Cabriolet, CLS-Class four-door Coupé, GL-Class luxury off-roader and the R-Class luxury family vehicle all reporting at least 40 per cent improvements this year compared with the first 11 months of 2010.
The new generation C-Class Saloon is 12 per cent up on YTD 2010, with 18,797 registrations, and the C-Class Estate improved 61.8 per cent to 6832 new cars.
Fleet and business buyers have increased this year too, with the YTD figure showing that 32,198 new cars have been registered in that sector, an increase of 39.2 per cent.
AMG, the company’s high-performance division, also recorded a boost in November 2011, with 134 cars registered, up 50.6 per cent on the same month last year.
