Ginetta have announced their sponsorship of the UK round of the 2012 CIK-FIA European KF2 & KF3 Karting Championships. These championships are to be held at the PF International kart circuit, near Grantham from the 18th to the 22nd July.
With almost all Ginetta Junior drivers cutting their teeth in the world of karting, the CIK-FIA European Championship offers the ideal training ground for drivers wanting to make the move from karting into sports car racing.
“Ginetta are delighted to be involved in the CIK-FIA European Championships this year. Many stars of tomorrow cut their teeth in karting, and it’s great to be a part of such a worldwide event.”
With the Ginetta team on site throughout the event, youngsters will have the chance to check out a Ginetta in the flesh, speak to team members and find out more about the motorsport routes available to them.
Karters who are interested in a test in a Ginetta Junior car, will also be offered 10% off a test day at the Bedford Autodrome, on the 31st July, as well as a half price entry into the 2013 Ginetta Junior Scholarship scheme.
The CIK-FIA European KF2 & KF3 Championship will run to a different format in 2012; with round one of KF2 having already taken place in Wackersdorf, Germany last month, whilst KF3 round one was held in Varennes, France, in April.
The two series will come together at the PF International kart circuit later this month for a four-day race spectacular, which ends in a grand finale on Sunday22nd July.
